Introduction to Alpine Climbing

The high peaks of the Sierra Nevada are calling! In this course we cover steep snow climbing equipment and techniques such as crampon and ice axe use. We also cover alpine rock climbing skills such as efficiency movement, rope management and basic anchoring. If schedules and weather permits, this course can be held as a two day course with the second day spent ascending a local classic climb!
